Founded in 1958 by area artists, The League of Roanoke Artists (LRA) is the largest independent art organization in the Roanoke area. The LRA has been devoted to expanding opportunities for artists and those that wish to support art.
We welcome artists, sculptors, and photographers at different levels of accomplishment. Our organization includes professional artists, and those just beginning to express themselves in their art. We offer:
•Regular meetings with demonstrations and presentations tailored for artists
• Monthly Critiques
• The LRA Newsletter
• Retreats featuring workshops by highly qualified professionals.
• Many opportunities throughout the year for artists to show and sell their art.
LRA membership is available to those 18 years of age and older. Our membership fee is kept to a minimum so we can be accessible to all.
